HCL ME V1 Tab released in India for Rs 7790

HCL highly proclaimed for its ME series Laptops has released their next iteration. The ME V1 is a 7 inch Android tablet featuring Cortex A8 (1 GHz ) processor and 1 GB of DDR3 RAM. It is a Pretty decent configuration, isn’t it? Though the screen resolution is loathsome of about  800 x 480 , some specs like 3G dongle support, VoIp,2 MP rear camera with flash makes it an acceptable gear.

But this gadget has a major demerit. ” This device doesn’t come with Play store application. So the users cannot download applications from the android market.” Only way to do so is to root the device and install the Play Store which will apparently void the warranty provided by the company, or to be contended with the apps provided by the HCL market and 3rd parties. Available now for purchase from HCL website for Rs 7790.

The detailed specs of the Tablet are:

  • 7″ display with 800 x 480 resolution
  • Android 4.0
  • 0.3 MP Camera, 2 MP rear camera with LED flash
  • Phone function, SMS capability
  • 3G dongle support
  • 1GHz Cortex A8 processor
  • 1 GB RAM
  • 3200 mAh battery
